Tony, You are so right, “We are healthy, thank God for that”.
I live with that type of thinking, what else do I have?
Keep posting my friend, it makes SZ happy/better.

John C.
PS, I used to say if I had a two week notice of my passing, I would go to Italy and eat myself to death. Now I have to look for another place.

John, May you live long enough to realize your dream ...

SAVED !!! Our Church always has a special Mass on both St. Patrick's day - serving coffee and Irish Soda Bread after, and St. Joseph's Day - serving espresso and zeppole after ...
The Bishop has suspended all Masses in light of the virus.

Today the Director of our Church Outreach Ministry delivered zeppole to us, compliments of our Pastor ...

PS: Not NY style, but definitely serviceable ... grin

YUMmmm.

Actually what is it Tony,? Type of bun? Or Choux pastry?
Real sucker for yeast based buns and choux pastry.

It is more like a choux pastry, perhaps a little heavier ...
In the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, southern Connecticut area it is either baked or fried (mostly fried, which I prefer), then filled with a sweetened ricotta cheese filing ... In Rhode Island, however, they are mostly baked and more often filled with a custard type filling - to ME, they are not nearly as good as the ricotta cheese ...

Speaking of Ricotta cheese, I make "fake" pancakes by mixing a couple of eggs and a couple of scoops of the cheese. Fry it in the skillet like pancakes, top with butter and sugar free syrup--almost zero carbs and delicious.
Some people add cinnamon or sugar substitute and skip the syrup.
