It wasn't all that long ago that Donny pointed out here an offer by Acoustica in which they offered their Mixcraft 8 at only half price. I purchased the Mixcraft 8 Pro at 75 bucks and have been very pleased with my purchase. Today they announced the brand new Mixcraft 9 and 9 Pro. I managed to update to Pro 9 for approx. 30 bucks which I think is great. But even the basic Mixcraft 9 version is an incredible bang for the buck imho. Apart from all of its DAW fucntions and there are zillions , they add a number of VST modules to it as well, over twenty in the Pro version, including piano module, mini-moog module etc.etc. Do give it a look : https://acoustica.com/mixcraft#buy https://acoustica.com/mixcraft#features regards, John

Reaper is as good as anything out there (for the average guy at home) and is only $60.
