Had a request last night for Cry Me A River.
Tried to do it off the off the top of my head, and this is what happened. Other than chords, timing, lyrics, melody, etc., there weren't too many mistakes. Can't even remember how to pronounce Plebeiam!
Anyway, I just picked a Big Band style, guessed at the tempo at played it. Amazing what a guy will do for a $10.00 tip. smile
Be gentle, but let me know what you think about the sound.

Hot Damned! You made it your own, reallllll bluesy song - You really worked hard for that $10 tip, but you did one Hell of a great job.

After the intro, the chord is a minor. the first note is a 5th higher than what you used.

Yours worked. It's just different from the original structure.

Capt Russ,
Your right, that's a minor chord. Lloyd

Yes it is. My memory and/or ear failed. I will have chart next time!

Pretty darn good especially for winging it on the fly. shows the power and versatility of the Arranger style keyboard.

God Bless,

Just for the heck of it, I did it again tonight. Cleaned up the chords, the bridge and tried to hit the right melody notes. I have a very bad cold so I can't really hear it right. If it sounds decent tomorrow, I'll post it for comparison.
Seems I'm getting lots of requests for standards this weekend. Did Moon River, Don't Get Around Much Anymore, San Francisco, Fly Me To The Moon, All Of Me, and others.

O.K. I decided to post it although it is still quite ragged. I think it's better than the one yesterday. I used a different mic too.
