Maybe its just me, but i am still not impressed... Sounds are on par with the sd1000, styles not on par with the audia... And by now, every arranger should have a touchscreen.

At that price, they should sell something spectacular instead of old technollogy repackaged.

First, before laying down my hard-earned Yankee dollars I would have to get up close and personal with the keyboard itself. (Sorry AJ that I wasn't able to attend any of the demos thus far.} All of the demos I've heard so far really do not impress me, but much of this, I'm sure, can be attributed to the recording techniques. Fortunately, AJ doesn't live more than a couple hours drive from me, so if I can find some free time, maybe I'll try to set up another Synthzone Jam here at the Diamond Ranch later in the year and we can all get to hear it played by the master himself, AJ.

This demo has a good recording quality via line-in, but it's a very average style and the choice of sounds doesn't highlight the typical strengths of Ketron sounds. The e-piano and distortion guitar are average GM standard. I think it's just no interesting choice of sounds here. I'm much more impressed by Ketron's official MidjPro audio demos, which also contain sounds that are not part of the SD1000.

Why do I feel like I'm in an elevator when I hear these demos? They all sound alike, no matter what keyboard is played. I think that's why I stopped buying keyboards to upgrade my sound. I just gave up .

I feel like in an elevator in the late 1980s with this music. This is the kind of music they used to play along the German TV lottery draw in 1987...

way better sound quality, than the other
the SD7 does not impress me much
i guess the Audya has spoiled me :-)

the more "modern" touch-screen is a step in the direction
boot up time is still slow,
what kind of CPU does this have?
i'd think we could get a keyboard to boot a bit faster these days

I guess the same risc type of CPU all instruments have, except the Korg Kronos and the Wersi OAS and OAX
