As promised earlier on I have tried an make a few short recordings with this little gadget that was brought to our attention by Colin and which can still be bought second hand at very affordable prices. (mine was only 50 euros which is dead cheap admittedly).
The first short recording demonstrates the use of the internal microphone. The second used a Shure SM58 plugged in and the final recording is a direct recording ( line-out) from the KORG PA800.

If you view the Youtube filmings you can adjust the setting of the screen to higher quality, even HD , in which it was filmed.(depending on the speed of your connection of course)

Thanks for fulfilling our request. I watched the You Tube video in 1080p. The Zi8, as you demonstrated is quite a neat little camera with super audio. Your singing and playing was a nice bonus, and I appreciate you taking the time to demo 3 different versions. Perhaps next time...include the head
