It's on Craigslist.

The ad says "local preferred", but I will ship to SZ members.

Don't be a dodo! You can get more on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/csc/i.html?_sacat=0&...ItemCondition=4

OK - no longer a dodo. It's on Ebay!

Tim, FYI I have had great luck with Craiglist. Maybe your asking price was too low? I've sold PSR 3k, s900, s910, G70, PA800, Pa2xPro. I sold a Tyros2 on Ebay, I did Ok but not really much better in the extra $$ department than meeting a local buyer and for cash only. I only sell locally, I live within 60 miles of Boston so the market here is huge.

I've sold computers and cameras as well thru Craigslist all positive experiences. Last guy I sold an iMac to was at a Panera Bread shop. I got some funny looks when I waked in with a huge iMac computer all boxed up. I made a few friends that night as well. People were curious, thought I didn't like the Mac and wondered why I was selling. I like the Mac was selling the old to upgrade to a newer model. I've met people at pizza shops, Dunkin Donuts, Barnes and Noble book shops. Anywhere that has a power outlet so the customer could fire up the device.

At least for me the peace of mind meeting in very public places, having your buyer test the product then getting the cold hard cash and walking away happy beats holding my breath . Did I say I have a friend nearby with me just in case the buyer has any other ideas, you can never be too sure.

I too have sold dozens of items, mostly cameras, on CL - and most sold quickly. I think the most unusual sale I made was a camera to a young man who turned out to be a waiter at a restaurant. He paid for the camera with tips he had been saving up. He paid me in $1 bills, neatly folded in half and rubber banded together in stacks of 50 - $700 total!

Although I never had a bad experience with Ebay, Craigslist is the way to go. Stephen has the right idea...meet at a public place and bring a friend.

TIPS:
1.Never communicate with a buyer/seller by email. If they don't give a phone number, then don't deal. Spammers love Craigslist.

2.Never deal with someone who wants the product shipped. This is where Ebay offers some protection. For me, Craigslist means local deals only.

3.Cash only

Anyone have a bad experience with Craigslist or Ebay?

PS: Tim...sorry I'm not in the market for your S910, it's a good local deal. Good Luck.

My Craigslist experience: Put a bike (motorcycle) on sale in the afternoon, gone the following morning, full price. Guy drove up from Macon, GA with his wife, a bike trailer, and a stack of $100 bills. I was so happy I gave him $50.00 off to cover his travel expenses. No guarantee you'll be that lucky, but with the precautions Larry listed above, no reason not to try this FREE service. JMO.

Ouch! I didn't realize that the final value fee was 9%. If it's a fixed rate listing, the final value fee is about 5% for an expensive item.

Tim, why don't you sell it on Craigslist but for more? Or sell it on both simultaneously.

I just thought that you were selling your keyboard for too little on Craigslist.

Good luck!

With the dozens of CL sales I've had I'm happy to say that each one has been a pleasant transaction. I did take the S910 off CL however due to the fact that there's not much interest in my area for a S910.

I placed it on Ebay yesterday early in the AM - for $1100. It sold by last night for my asking price. Can't get any better than that.

I'm satisfied with both CL and Ebay at this point.
Oh - and BTW - Ebay only gets 2.9% - not 9% plus .30 posting charge.
