Is anyone selling or willing to trade a Roland BA-330 for a pair of Kustom Powerks PW50 50 watt powered PA cabs?

The PW50's work just fine, no complaints, but will trade if the deal is right. The two cabs are worth $100 each; like new, no scratches very very low hours. I bought these as a back up for my Bose Compact and have had no use for them otherwise. It'sw been a slow summer and I feel like buying something... smile

Hi Cass,

Are you going to run stereo keys through the BA? I had one and I didn't care for the sound. It was plenty loud, but the acoustic piano was dismal. Anyway, good luck.

Let me know where you're playing some time. I sell in the Detro metro area about every day and work in Brighton. Love to meet you and see you perform. (I sold all my gear and don't anticpate playing for several years)

Jim, I'll be in Livonia in September otherwise everything else is Downriver. I'll email you the date and location.
The BA would also beome a backup rig, but something a little more versatile for a growing ensemble at church. It's completely possible my keys will never go thru it except to test it out. I had a pair of CM30s and just keep rotating stock... ha ha.

I just finished my gig at the Crab Trap...I used only the BA330 for two mics and BK5...and yes the piano did sound great too... smile

The band booked there had the equipment on stage,,2 EV 12 ' non powered speakers, a sub woofer, and a 1000 watt Yamaha amp....I can not figure why all the gear at the Crab Trap...

The BA 330 was plenty ..and the patrons say it sounded much better than the band gear... grin

What doesn't? smile

The "only" thing that could be conceived as a problem is the built in limiter(protects the unit against damage by folks that can't set the sound system up properly) smile

Two examples..I set the BA330 on table height the last two gigs I used the BA330..One was a DJ reunion gig,, about 120 people in a wide room with the dance floor in front of me, and tables set up on both sides..Folks commented on the sound that allowed them to talk with each other without screaming..and the sound on the dance floor was great for dancing ..

Last night, I filled in with the intention of using the other bands gear....One look at the EV system and the use of a power amp to passive speakers,,,,I knew it was nothing but trouble in the Crab Trap...so a trip to my SUV ..and the BA330 made it a great night with a small space available (I had to leave room for "Kath" my partner.. smile

Biggest problem when using lower powered speakers is over doing the input feeds, once the signal is too hot an limiter is designed to kick in....I have seen this mis management, even on my Higher powered Yorkville's smile..You have to know what you are doing...most of the time equipment will conceal your mess ups...but not always... grin

This may be a little OT for this thread, but here goes anyway:
What's happened to eBay? It's become an eStore for retailers and there are hardly any private sales on our kind of equipment. You're lucky if you can find two private sales in any category anymore. Hell, I can go to the corner GC or even Best Buy and vuy a BA330, but I'd really like to find someone who has one in excellent condition selling it at a price I can accept.

BTW, thanks Fran for your input on this. I know you have one and use it all the time. I value your opinions.
