This is amazing to see. It's Richard Wayne Penniman (aka Little Richard) about fifteen years before "Tutti Frutti, oh, Rudy...." If you're familiar with early period Beatles, you'll know that McCartney was heavily influenced by Little Richard.

Close., but this is child actor; Frank "Sugar Chile" Robinson.

As a vintage autograph collector I have his signed picture on ebay. He does play a mean piano like Little Richard tho.

Walt, thanks for the informative heads up about that kid playing being Sugar Chile Robinson, and not Little Richard.

This was sent to me in an email from a piano player that used to play with the late great Al Hirt. I'll let him know. I really wondered when I saw it because I didn't really see a resemblance. Either way, that kid really kicks.
