Friends,

There was a technics Arranger keyboard that was released in the early '80 and here are some of the description I can remember about it:

* 49 Keys
* Voices were PCM
* Built in speakers but within grill
* Goldish metalic top color, black metal bottom part
* Selection for voices and styles were at your finger-tip close to keybed and not close to speakers as was the case with later designs.
* Buttons themselves (for style, voices ... etc) were silver.
* LEDs above bottons lit up once activated

I am sure someone here can point me in the right direction wth regards to finding the model (or better still picture) of this keyboard. It was built rock-solid.

Thanks

PS: Arround this same time, the Yamaha PSR 70 was released as well.

AJ ... perhaps you want to post this on the technics forum ...
I didn't want to take the liberty of doing that ...

I'm not quite sure, but wonder if it could have been Technics SX-K300 ?

My very first Technics was a SX-K350 smile

It was before my first Techcnics that is a KN800.
Gunnar, I just bought a KIN2600 keyboard used to go with my origial KN800. I had sold this keyboard along with 4 others when Technics pulled the plug. I have so much Technics stuff left that I needed this last keyboard they made to use it all.
I get tired of jamming on the tyros 2 and the R80 all the time.
What are you playing now?

KN800 was my second of the KN series. As you, I sure have a lot, if not most all there is of Technics stuff, and looking for a mint KN6500 hopefully with a HD to make that stuff up and shine again.

Now I'm using a Roland G-70, sold the Ketron SD-1 to be ready for Audya, but because of lots of delays and when it finally came out, here it cost the same as 2 other top Arrangers as well as lots of bugreports, I did not buy it .... yet.

At the moment Korg PA3x Pro looks quite interesting, but no hurry, G-70 works well for my use while wait for next arranger to explore.

Still the other brands have a way to go to compete with technics OS and userfriendlyness. smile
