So far it looks like
Kronos61 $2999
Kronos73 $3499
Kronos88 $3799

PA3X61 $3699
PA3X76 $3999
PaAS $499

Looking at April ish for shipping

I talked with the Korg team, and I mentioned how Korg players feel abandoned because of lack of additional styles and add-ons.

I was told Korg will be implementing something like Yamaha with additional styles to be purchased.

I was also asked to help find additional styles and programmers that can fill teh bill when it comes to certain type styles.

So I guess I'm on the Korg help team, also I put my hat in the ring as a beta tester for bugs and they want me for that too.

So let's get on-board with this one and build an impressive machine

Hi Frank,
how do these prices for PA3x compare to the PA800 & PA2x when they were released? More expensive or pretty much the same.

Be brilliant if they finally get something sorted out re new styles. Yammie owners must be buying them, why wouldn't korg owners.

Frank.....

You have better dealer contacts than us civilians do. I called them this morning and got the usual "we don't know anything about it other than what's on the Internet." Are those prices and the shipping date (both PA3 and the Kronos) from a reliable source at Korg? Or are they going to pull an "Audya?" Dangle the carrot in front of us but don't release it until after the next Presidential elections?

can't believe how the PA3X is more expensive than the Kronos, really.....doesn't make sense as the Kronos is far more advanced.

Maybe that general midi stuff takes more work? I don't know...

My guess is that the final software for this thing is not finished yet - including styles, sounds, os and so on.

As for the prices, the M3 is a lot cheaper than the PA2X Pro - even the PA800, so I guess it is no big suprise that the PA3X costs more than the KRONOS. Actually the big suprise is that the KRONOS is that cheap, that thing is going to get a big market share - unless it has some major issues.

Frank,
Thanks for the update/info.

Please ask them about the LARGE ISSUE we have been fighting for years...combining sets/managing the files/librarian type support.

Also, please while your there, try to check out all the orchestral sounds..how good are they as compared to T4/PA2.

Thanks,
Lee S.

Never ever there was a WS more expensive then any Arranger,
go back in time, Triton VS PA, M3 VS PA2, i30 VS Trinity,
Tyros VS Motif and so on...arrangers are always more money.

I got bad news...they say compatible with PA backwards...
which means they rely on the same File Menagement which
also means bad news for us.
