Music of Stephane of Luxembourg, performed on Tyros 4

The Shadow Of Your Smile

Mourir Aupres De Toi (To Die Near You)

In the following Video: Checkout the pic which says: "Tyros 4 Orgel Edition" at 2:55.
Funny thing is what's actually pictured is a Tyros 3:

Unchained Melody

Hi Scott.

When intro plays, it reminds me of a song by Prince, and then it's a quite
different song coming when start play. But still during the song, the Prince
alike signature for this special song is to hear.....
How much of the Tyros on board styles as well as intro/endings get so close
to a known song?

Regarding sound, the single solo voices I've heard in demoes of Tyros4 so far
is better than ever in a Tyros, drums also a bit more punchy, but overall the
styles mix is as CD'ish as usual, if not even more polished than before.
I hear clean sound and nice effects, but miss the "human touch" like we know
from Korg, and specially Ketron styles.

I've thought a bit about it, and have a feeling about that the styles are just
programmed/copied stright out of paper scores by comuter programmers, and that
the conductor and musicians who usually make the difference and life into the
music is missing during the programming process?

I can see T2 and T3's popping up for sale now, so maybe it's time to jump on
the Yammie train just to explore more closely.....

Cheers

The Solitaire has allways been a great player, makes me wonder why he switched from Wersi to Tyros...

124, thanks for that link. I was wondering who would catch that. That's Chrissy Hynde and the Pretenders classic 1994 hit "I'll Stand By You". Here's a more recent Carrie Underwood version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hcg3IZPPyhc

Regarding:
Uchained Melody performance
SUPERB! I love it!
So, after listening...is this played on stock Yamaha T4 (with lower KB & pedals) with stock styles ...or is this heavly sequenced?
Tryig to understand here.
Thanks,
Lee S.

I was not refering to the song/melodyline played here, but the intro and the overall
sound in the style used.
That did certainly not make me think about "I'll stand by you" before the lead voice
start play.

Hi GJ,
No, the intro didn't make me think of "I'll Stand By You" either, but I didn't know whether perhaps Prince had done the same song, or even written it, and perhaps had a different intro on it. I'm trying to think of what Prince song that intro might fit with. Nothing is springing to mind with me. Did you figure it out yet? It'll probably drive me nuts for a couple of days, now.

Cheers, 124

Scott: Thanks for the heads-up on Carrie Underwood's version. She's a stunner.

To bad if I happen to drive you nuts, and this reply will probably not make it any
better.
Something about that intro and guitarsound made me think about Purple Rain as soon
as it started.

Cheers

Btw,
Looks like the video is taken off due to copyright issues made by Leigh Wilbraham .....

A Google search came up with this link:
