Was finally able to get my PSR-S710 to trigger my Kitcore Soft Synth Drums properly. Part of the problem was trying to use the standard midi outs to my computer. USB out to computer definately works better. Just shut off all transmit channels on 710 except channel 10...set up my kitcore softsynth to receive channel 10 and it worked perfectly.

I know there has been endless debate about the drum sounds on the yammies, but I have to admit, when I pulled up Matt Sorums drum patch on Kitcore to replace the 710's assigned kit...it took me to a place that the 710 alone has not accomplished. The 710's sounds are really amazing, but when you hear a live drum sound groovin' with the yammie styles...It definately adds a new dimension to the instrument.

Thanks Nigel and abacus for your input!

So happy to hear you finally got that problem resolved. Sounds like the improvement with the drum sounds was well worth it.
