this will blow your mind.
thanks to Bernie that sent it to my email.
Listen to this guy playing Whispering Hope using only a leaf.
I would like to sample that and put it in one of my samplers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6dTeQwf488&feature=related

good plan,
I loved the sound of it.
How deep is the snow in Michigan now.
We have everything blooming here, flowers, plants, trees due to the alternating rain and 70 degrees sunny days.

This actually was very interesting ...

As for the topic question "Have you played the LeafFlute yet", I'm waiting until it comes with 'on-board' speakers ...

Here's what it would sound like if Rory played it.

PS. I hope he can find even a small amount of humor in this cause that's how I meant it. I have nothing but respect for Rory's abilities....he's a monster musician!

If it comes with onboard speakers Uncle Dave might consider it.

That is cool. I'm impressed that real in-tune music can be made with a leaf.
msutliff: Aren't you clever. hahah. Pretty decent time shrink algorithm there, what prog did you use?

Hey Rory,

Thanks for asking. I was just goofing around with Time Stretch in Sound Forge 10. You can either stretch or shrink the time of a piece without changing its pitch. At the time I was playing with this, I read the post about the leaf playing, gave the UTube video a listen, and everything else just kinda fell into place. I shortened the 3 minute piece into 30 seconds and when I heard the guy playing it in triple-time, I thought of your skills (in a demented kind of way, I guess).
