Once Intel PC's got to rule the world because they had all the software running on them. Apple lost that war...

But now Apple is fighting back, all the way, and with 140.000 apps fit for this kind of devices, they are miles ahead of the competition, add to that the ease of use and the nice price (espescially for apple products) this is a big winner...

Finally we have a replacement of our books and paper, because that is what it is... 100 years ago all we had was papers and books ... Now this device finally has the size to add all kinds of media in a size that fits your hands...

Its not for on the road, but for your livingroom. No more laptops on your lap for browsing the web, but an ipad, so much more convenient for 90% of the users...

ipad..is not on my list at all..

It does not replace a laptop..maybe for novice or beginner use..

The ipad lacks storage capacity..max out is 64 gigs..and the processor is lacking power too (1GHz)..
This unit couldn't run half the programs I use....sorry, it is just a gimmick/ novelty unit...for now...

It would be more for the "net book" users..where power and storage are not important..
