One observation very common in piano players, the piano demo is good, BUT, when playing the Acoustic Guitar, he still uses the sustain pedal, (much like a piano player playing with a guitar sound) and that gives him away, that is not the "natural" way, a guitar does NOT sustain in that way.

I agree entirely...also, the guitar was played out of range, and sometimes it sounded like a harpsichord.

Otherwise, very nicely done....piano was very good.

Nice playing, Tostie...

This pretty much illustrates how the playing makes a LOT of the difference, but the sound has at least SOME of the influence. The piano sound is exceptional, but the guitar PLAYING might come out a bit better on an SA guitar sound from Yamaha. A lot of that SA magic is channeled into making piano fingering sound more guitaristic, by doing legato/fingered in response to your phrasing, and adding in those squeaks, finger slides and the like depending on the line.

I still think solo guitar honors go to the Tyros SA, but piano honors go to the Roland
