George, the NP-30 came in today when I was out. It was unpacked by my son. After I tried it out, I saw some serious nicks and scratches on the back side. When I located the box, there were several holes thru the outer box and into the inner Yamaha box on both sides.

The damage isn't enough to affect playability, but the boxes were punctured completely through.

I'm at the office by myself, and don't know how you shipped, but I'd bet it was by Fed Ex. We have 10 times the damage issues with them than UPS.

I'm taking the piano over to the hospital now, and it will be fine. But if the puncture hole was over 1/2 an inch, the piano would have been toast.

Just thought you'd like to know...

Russ,
I do want to know! In fact, in the same shipment I sent a Yamaha PSRS700 to a customer in Minnesota and it came with a big hole in the box and several keys were smashed! I switched from UPS because they were damaging lots of equipment and I've had much better luck with Fed Ex. I will have to investigate!
Thanks for the info,
