Hi,
I’m thinking of buying a yamaha PSR-S900, mainly because it’s lighter than the Technic KN7000. Can any one tell me if you can go into a composer menu on the PSR-S900, and take the Intro, Ending, or Variations off of one style and then add them to a different style, like you can with the KN7000. Also if you can take the intro off of a style and use it as a fill in.
I hope I have expressed myself clearly.
Thank you,
Fred wren.

yes, you can copy any part from any style and turn it into any variation, fill, intro or ending you want.
This is done in the digital recorder section under style record and than tabing over to the tab called "assembly". Then you can either select "new" and there are all empty sections and now you can audition all the style parts and put them into any of the 8 tracks of a style or you can start with a style which is already got tracks in each part and just go in and change a few or all.
It's really easy and cool to work this way.

George,

Thank you for your clear and detailed answer, which I have saved.
If you were in U.K. I would be negotiating with you for a PSR-S900.
Having phoned round to different salesman, I have managed to go from £1,150 to £875, and I haven’t finished yet.
Thank you once again.
Fred Wren.

Hi George
If you can get to the Public Open Days at the Blackpool Keyboard Festival http://www.keyboard-cavalcade.co.uk/index.htm do so, as they usually have special deals on, and you will also be able to compare it with other keyboards. (Not forgetting the Teach in sessions)
Hope this helps

Bill

Go and see James Sargent - he is the Yamaha product specialist and a lovely guy, too.

Hi Bill,
I was at the Pakefield spring spectacular and spent time with the Yamaha team Richard Bower and James Sargent, also spent time playing the PSR-S900. I’m sure the Blackpool Keyboard Festival was just as good.

Hi Insider,
I agree with you.
Fred Wren.
