Thanks, buddy.

I would definitely add the late Rick van der Linden as one of the all-time greatest "Rock" keyboard players. He was a brilliant player, composer and arranger.

He's got other "greatest" lists on his site too. Cool site actually. Based on his picks, he and I seem to be fairly close in musical tastes and probably age. Some of the names, especially the ones near the top, look strikingly similar to the names we used to debate 30 or so years ago when I started my first High School band. In fact Emerson and Wakeman always seemed to go 1 and 2 in those days.

I was always a Pink Floyd, ELP, and Yes fan. I'm a fan of both Emerson and Wakeman , but also partial to Patrick Moraz, so I would have to rate him much closer to the top. Like arranger brands, of course it's all so subjective.. no way to actually quantify a list like this.

Patrick Moraz is a great player. I really love his synth solo on "Sound Chaser" off Yes's Relayer album.

Some years ago he was hiring himself out to play grand piano in your own home ( you had to provide the piano ). It wasn't all that expensive cos I remember thinking that would be a such a great evening having him play for you and friends in your own home. What a cool party that would be.
