Hello all,

I just bought a new 2 Gigabyte USB thumbdrive/Mp3 player VERY COOL
But thats not what this post is really about. After I dumped a folder of MP3's onto this new player, I ran accross something that was titled RockDemo
I figured it was something from the Tyros 2 Demo site, but actually it was some crap that I did while playing around with one of the T2 guitars. Anyway I thought that I would go ahead and upload it and subject you all to it as well.
Sorry its kind of long.
Not a lot of anything different in it. Just long. I hate that... Oh well.
The new Mp3 player is really cool. About the size of a Bic lighter and has 2 Gig onboard memory, and an FM Radio with thirty station presets. Plays MP3,WMA and Wave. Can also record the radio and voice.

Anyway...

Thats a fun track Dennis. I was almost holding up a cigarette lighter during that

What a very cool device. That's great combining huge storage you can carry around in your pocket with MP3 capability. But being able to record voice and FM radio cuts is just awesome. Does it have a built in mic then? What did that cost you? I better put one of those on my shopping list.

Thanks Nigel,

I bought this on Ebay. Delivered to my house (lightning fast shipping) for $42.
And YES it does have a built in microphone for recording voice messages. It came with a cool necklace that clips onto the device and the necklace has the headphones built into them. I bought it primarily for listening to music or the radio when I'm out riding the motorcycle. I have a special set of earplug headphones for when I'm riding. Sounds awesome. On the plus side, it fits nicely into my Tyros 2 for data transfers.

Craig,
I didn't know we had any headbangers on the forum.

I thought that I would go ahead and subject you all to the chaos that is in my head sometimes.

Glenn,

The Model is not listed anywhere on the unit. However the manual lists the unit as a 102FM-8 (not sure if this is accurate for my unit as the 2 Gig model is relativly new)

The specifications of the unit are as follows:

2 Gigabytes of Samsung Flash Memory
Onboard Digital FM Radio with 30 Station Presets
MP3 Player, WMA Player and Wave file player
The ability to record a Radio program as a wave file and listen later.
Built in microphone for vocal recording as wave file.
Adjustable Kbps bitrate for recording
Adjustable FM Sensitivity (the radio works very well)
Digital information displayed on screen (even has lyrics display option)
Supports folders
and other things I cant remember. but those are the highlights

The box includes;
MP3 Player
Necklace/Headphones
USB extension cable
Battery
CD of drivers for older versions of windows and maybe other stuff. (I havent looked to see what is actually there)
And a pretty good owner/operator manual

All in All, I am extremely pleased with this device.

All this delivered to my door for $42. A very good price indeed!

Here is the place where I bought mine.
This seller seems to offer the best chance for getting a great deal. After I bought mine I saw someone win the item for $5 less than I paid. Although most people paid around the same or more than I did.
