For 7.1 I don't think it would add anything beyond what 5.1 does since you convert to stereo anyway.

I see by the specs that it is also 700 watts RMS. That "Total Power" thing must some big words the advertizing boys came up with.

Actually those speakers are by Creative Labs. The z5500's still show up on the Logitech site.

Keep the product info coming guys, it's always good to see what's out there. It's much better to have a wide variety of toys to pick from
