In Roland`s Arranger keyboards (VA76 G-1000 Em-2000) when you go variation of the voice there are tones like +Oboe2002 +AccPiano1...
that are in random categories but each variation has one or two, What is that all about?

Vadim, that is for the MT32 mapping of sounds. If you are using a sequencer with the MT32 map, this will give the right program changes..

Vadim, the MT32 map was pre General Midi map[GM]. Sequences that were recorded on an LA instrument like the D20 or an MT32 module, also the RA50[Roland products] would comform to this map...so if you needed to play a sequence from these older Rolands, the newer models including SC55 thru VA series can play the correct program changes..
