Friend has psr740 and as I play it, when I play an inversion of a D-chord with a style auto-accompaniment, it doesn't sound right... there's a note dropping out in the chord. It just doesn't sound the entire chord or something. I can't quite tell what's going on but it doesn't sound right. I had this same keyboard and something isn't right. Any ideas?

Be sure the chord recognition system is set to Fingered, not Multi-fingered. Multi-fingered is where you can play "full" chords or one-finger chords either. It doesn't recognize some chords and inversions.

Also be sure you're not maxing the poly too. UD is also right about the chord recognition system.

I don't think it's fingering; I've tried every way and I am using it same way I used it for countless hours. Something is very different. Odd, I can't figure this out. It's not just D-chord, it's others. I don't know how to explain it.

Semilivemusic.
Sounds like a problem I have been having with my Technics KN920.
Appears to occur when I use the Music Style Arranger.
On the bright side it is intermittent but annoying.
Problem solved in the new year when I purchase a PSR3000 to replace it.
