I found this web site recently that teaches piano accompaniment. http://users.wireweb.net/green/pianolessons.htm
I selected option 2 which cost $20.00 U.S. and he emails links to PDF files with music notation and links to MIDI files. There must be over 100 different piano accompaniment patterns. Pop, rock, blues, country, jazz, praise & worship, jewish. Phew!! Well if quantity is what you want, you would get your money's worth. I will let you know if the quality is good.

Nardoni2002,
I printed the PDF files and dowloaded all the MIDI files, but he (John Axson) continues to send me emails with PDF and MIDI file attachments with MORE accompaniment patterns. Received an email from him on December 5th dicussing Cripple Creek Country Fill In Patterns. Talk about getting your money's worth.

Thanks for the tip Starkeeper.I emailed John for a recommendation of which set of lessons suited me,and he answered write back with a sample. I like his personal approach and am sending off for lessons. I am an organ/keyboard player and lack lefthand piano skills. For hundreds of lessons on CD(midi and sheetmusic, plus instruction, how can you go wrong.

Nardoni2002,
I noticed you live in Spain, if you selected option 2, to have the links sent to you, then you would get the links within a couple days of John receiving your money.
Just received today via email "Jewish Piano Pattern: The Yeshua Pattern".
The objective with these patterns is to memorize them and then mix and match different patterns to a song you want to accompany. The problem with written music, is that 1) it is the arrangers accompaniment, not yours, 2) transcibing the notation to actual keys on the keyboard. Most people, including me, have difficulty transcribing, not playing the instrument.

hi starkeeper, yes i selected option 2,what i was getting at is that S~~~N is famous for losing mail,i have a picture in a book that shows a postal box where the mail goes in the top and at the bottom there is a shute showing letters going off into the universe, that speaks for itself,i sent a cheque to the usa 3 weeks ago by airmail ,it still has not arrived,,,i also received some emails from john ,but not the patterns yet, anyway what do you think of the patterns,i mentioned them to spilok on simons site, mike

Mike,
I just received it a little while ago, so I haven't tried that many out so far. I purchased a piano course from Triplett's and it had 4 patterns!!! It cost me $300.00 CDN I think, and it was not worth it. These patterns beat it hands down, no contest. I like to play songs in 3/4 time, but not all 3/4 songs are waltzes. Amazing Grace is not a Waltz. There are many 3/4 time piano patterns in his pattern piano that are NOT simple "Bass, chord, chord" ohm, pa, pa.
The question I have for myself is, will I be able to use these patterns for the songs I want to play? We'll see.
