I got a Korg i5s at a garage sale for $200. Has some good styles I like and on board speakers that sound pretty loud.

I sing a chorus and then play a solo up to the bridge and then sing the bridge and out on most tunes.

With my i30 no problem I move the main or sub slider up in a split second and turn it back down when the solo is finished.

With the i5s I have to hold a button down to increase the volume and a different button down to decrease the volume. This doesn't work very well.

Also I can mute with the touch of a button on the i30. With the i5s I have to push the up and down volume buttons to mute.

Is this old technology or are most arrangers made with the button system or the slider system. My i30 has about 9 sliders. I'm handicapped without them so far unless I get use to them. If that's possible.

Oh! Anyone know where I can get a users manual for the i5s.

thanks Boo

Hi
this site may be able to help with som FAq's
http://www.korg.co.uk/main.htm

It also has a downloads.

Didn't spot a manual, though.

Maybe try the Korg Forum, and there's probably a korg arranger in the yahoo groups.

best wishes
Rikki

The i5s and the iX300 had push buttons for up and down. I loved my iX300 except for that. It is a little more difficult to do things on the fly/live. The i5s is a decent board, definitely worth $200.

Rich,

I don't have your email.
Would the users guide help much more than the Reference guide.

thanks,
Boo Hargis

boo,
The user guide is a general intro into what the buttons do. The reference guide is the more detailed guide getting into the nuts and bolts of the i5s. I had my email off. It is available now. You can call me 813-254-9146 if any questions.
