Hey Folks,
I've had folks listen through headphones and really like the songs and those who listen through stereo’s tend to complain about echo. I'm redoing the cd .... I don't want to waste another month doing the whole thing again so I posting comparisons and since this is the only forum I'm really apart off I'm hoping for your advice... Thanks... It's been a longer process than I ever thought it would be to record and would appreciate any help...

New with very little reverb on vocals http://www.chipos.com/beachbum/Why2.mp3 http://www.chipos.com/beachbum/moonlight2.mp3 http://www.chipos.com/beachbum/Outthedoor2.mp3

Thanks for any input... before my hair is yanked out... Oh, If the first songs sound fine to you I can say I'm done...

I think the second vocal sounds fuller (the one with less reverb) Are you using a quality effect? It sounds kind of thin and washed out in the first version. The second one has something other than just a new FX level, am I right?

Mixing is often the most tedious part of the recording process. take your time, and don't stop till you get it the way you want it. Walk away from it for a day and come back fresh ...... Listen at different volume levels. Ask for suggestions, like you did here. You'll eventually get a mix you like !

Thanks Dave,
On the second version I have as little vocal effects as possible a hint of reverb and that's about it...

Maybe I should take that path..
Thanks,
Oh… I should have been in bed about two hours ago… But you know how recording can kick you’re a**
