On the PSR9000, 8000 and 740, when you select the Karaoke Girl, you get just the harmony voice, same with the Mouse and others.
I've noticed on the 2000 that you also hear the original voice. Is there a way around this? I just loved to sing "Crazy" in that funny Karaoke Girl voice. Also talk like a "wittle mouse".

Don,

Do we (actually you) have some sort of gender identity problem? I always thought that when the Four Seasons sang walk like a man that Frankie Vallie should sing like a man.

Ho, Ho, Ho, I see we're in the Christmas spirit Tom.
Actually, I was using the Karaoke Girl feature to do the high part in "I Like Bread and Butter". My partner's band were the original artists on the record, and we get a lot of requests for it. Neither of us can reach the notes for the high part, as Larry Henley did back in the 60's.

You know about the wet/dry balance control in the mic settngs window right? Will the registration memorize that settng? If not - maybe you have 2 seconds to quick fade the control to full wet before you start your "Uncle Milty" routine. Now, quit sqwaking and go put on a dress.

DonM is right here. The PSR2000 won't allow you to eliminate your lead vocal signal. The 'lead/harmony balance' knob raises/lowers the level of the backup harmonies only, not the lead voice.

I guess this just points out one of the reasons that the PSR2000 costs 'so much less' than the PSR9000. Afterall, if I want female voices, I'll get REAL ladies to sing with me

I don't think that the price is the problem, because the PSR740 did it the same way as the 9000. It's probably one of those deals that is supposed to be an improvement, but in this instance doesn't do what I want it to do exactly.
Maybe I can find a way to edit it.
Thanks,
DonM
