I have been trying to write a simple EX5/EX5R performance/mix editor for PC using my EX5R, but I'm frustrated because the EX5R accept the relevant sysex messages but do not modify some parameters.
For instance, a 'current performance part 1' bulk sent to the EX5R works fine, but any bulk sent to current performance parts 2 to 16 are ignored.
Many other sysex messages, such as 'parameter change', 'performance bulk', etc, modifies the wrong values or causes checksum error while the checksum is correct.
Does anybody know something about misinterpretation of sysex messages on the EX5 / EX5R ?
