ive acquired an sw1000, and have hooked it up
to my sy77 and am using XG works.
In song mode on the sy77 I am trying
to replace just the drum track with the sw1000 but the sy77 insists on transmitting on all channels...is it possible to trigger and sequence the sw1000 drums from the sy77 with the other 15 sy77 tracks midi muted...and how do you get the seq data from the sy77 to the sw1000? And what the hell is the MIDI Control thing for on the SY77...Ive read the manual and tried what it says..my arse does it "not run unless midi clock messages are being recieved"
Please help, I cant cope with reading yet *more* on-line manuals.

I'm not infront of my board, but if I remember correctly, in the Sequencer, go to Setup. You should be able to set the transmit channel per track. Holding down Shift+one of the 16 track keys is also a shortcut for transmitting on that midi channel. Useful in multi mode. What you want to do should work. if you want to Sync the sw1000, then make sure Midi Control is ON (under Sequencer Setup). If you don't want to send it midi clock info, turn Midi Control Off.
