Hey has anyone here played the S-80.... How good is it? Are there any major problems or bugs. Please tell me what you think of your S-80 as I am trying to decide between that and the Korg N1. Thanks

I finally got my S80 the other day. This is a keyboard players instrument. A great feeling keyboard with aftertouch and Lot's of controller inputs and sliders. Some people say the display is small, but I think it is more comprehensive than a larger screen with more distractions. I find the pianos to be very expressive. The synth engine is powered with resonant multimode filters. Since the general concept of the S80 has been around for years, it benefits from all the other attempts.
If piano/keyboard wasn't your primary instrument and you were looking for something to compose with, I would probably recommend something else.
I didn't the plugin boards, did I?

Hey do you know how many pedal jacks the S-80 has on it? I saw a Roland with 4 so I was just wondering.

The S80 has 4 foot controller inputs plus the breath controller input.

One sustain pedal jack... and three assignables I take it. Can you use the assignables to imitate a soft and sostenuto pedal like on a piano?

I just bought an S80. I sold my Alesis QS8.1 after playing the S80 and am happy with it. About a 1 1/2 years ago I tested the N1 and bought the QS8.1 over it. You can do SO much more with the Yamaha. Bought mine at Guitar Center for $1499 so check it out.
