In looking for the SD card with my Christmas registrations, some
are rejected by the 7K.... The screen lites up with red letters
announcing that "...there is no SD card in the machine..." or
something to that effect!

On the little metal "teeth" there are black marks...cannot tell if
they are holes or some kind of "dirt." The only good news is that
after rubbing with a soft cloth on one of the cards, I was able to
down load the programs.... some of them are registrations set up
in 2004 and 2005....

The other 2 SD cards.... no luck yet! I know for sure there are
programs there probably my Christmas registrations!

Has anyone had this challenge to work with, and what did you do to
correct the situation????

I have less than a month to prepare for a Christmas Concert! With
my programs that would be easy.....

Elizabeth....

I guess you could maybe save them in SD Explorer and then reload them on shiny bright new SD Cards.

Thanks for the response Roger.....

Problem is that the SD cards will not download to the 7K....

If they won't download there, how would they download anywhere
else???

Having not heard of SD Explorer... How would that be of help in this case?

Hello Elizabeth,

Can you download them to your computer? (they will probably show as a number) but as has been suggested, you could then copy to a new SD Card, and maybe that will download as per usual.

However, you will have to load each file/song and rename it or, it could be quicker to mark the number and name on your music that way, you would be able to tell the audience the title of what you are about to play.

Just a thought!

Audrey

Hi Audrey....

That sounds like something that just might work... will give it a go tomorrow... it is now 11 p.m. here! Bedtime!

My music is covered with where in my programs to go for the
correct registrations for every song! All in pencil mostly...
I found early on that a pen would not work due to frequent changes in my choices....

Elizabeth

Thanks for you suggestions....

SD Explorer was produced by Fred Mellink as a bit of software for use on your computer for seeing what you had on an SD Card and then moving files around; and saving whole cards for later uploading to another new SD Card.
Fred is contactable here fmlk@chello.nl

When Fred Mellink first produced his program I bought it...It was very good....

When I changed computers...lost it....

My attempts to renew Fred's program...(without buying it again)
failed....

At this point I would rather go someplace else.... Is there a
similar program available?

I think that's why Fred produced it because there wasn't anything else comparable available.

If you contact Fred, and tell him you have lost it, I'm sure he will give you a link to download it again and provide a new or your original security code. As far as I'm aware, Fred has a record of all people who purchased his software.........

Thanks for your good suggestion Bill.....

It has been probably at least a year, possibly more, since
I lost Fred's program.... At the time I attempted to contact
him.... There was no response.....

Someone here on SZ, forget who, attempted to send a copy
of his program from Fred. That did not work either.....

Maybe it will be worth a new attempt.... Thanks for the
reminders....

My rememberer does not work as well as my forgetter these
days!
I will not forget to keep checking my files for "Five Little
Pennies."
Thanks everyone for the help.... Elizabeth
