Bill, I have just purchased a Kn5000 and I could use styles, registrations and anything related to the KN5.
Bob Hendershot was kind enough to send me a good size package with lots of KN5 information. Any help would be appreciated.

John C.

[To all,
In my request for KN5000, KN3000 and KN2000 files I would want only the styles that were made public, receiving those that are still being sold I understand would not be ethical legal.

Thank you, John C.

Hi John, there are some sites that offer free software. one is
www.technics-music-service.de/downloads/index.htm

This site is able to offer software for KN and PR models over most of the ranges.
Best regards John D.

Hi John,

I don't have any styles, sounds etc. specifically for the KN5000 - all my stuff is KN7000 based. However, if you have access to the EMC Styleworks program, I could send you lots of Non-Commercial Composer styles which could be converted to KN5000 format. You may have to do a little 'Tweaking' after conversion, since the KN7000 has 8 parts in the Composer whereas the KN5000 only has 5 parts.

Thank you John for the information. I’ll give it a try. Good of you.

Bill, I do not have the EMC Styleworks program, would Sonar (Cakewalk) do the same job. If not It’s off to EMC Styleworks I go.

And as usual, thank you, John C.

Hi John,
As far as I am aware, EMC Styleworks is the only program which is capable of converting Technics files 'backwards'. I believe Cakewalk mainly uses MIDI files.

Hello John,

Are you looking for anything in particular?
I have a few floppies for the KN5 but I think they were put together specially for that model.

Did you know that the KN3000 styles can be played on the KN5000? but I am not too sure about the earlier models. Also, I don't think any of the later models styles will play on the KN5 but I'm sure Bill will tell you what can and cannot be used with the KN5 if you ask him nicely.....

Audrey
