You can get a external floppy drive that plugs into a USB port.I had the same problem when I bought a new computer. I bought one from PC World.

if the pc has a card reader for SD you can drag'n'drop technics and midi files direct to the blank 8MB supplied card and use it as a kind of transfer floppy. The technique is simple and has been described here and in my book, if it's of interest I can repeat it.

Otherwise the KN2600 version of Song Manager allows addition of new files, floppies or pc folders to an SD card structure without affecting the existing files. I can supply the instructions and files to switch between the KN7000 and KN2600 Song Manager.

Or Thomas Konig’s free SD Card Tool can add technics files to an existing card. There was also a midi version.

All of these have cost no money so far, if you want to spend some money then Fred Mellink’s SD Explorer tool offers more functionality. Any of these alternatives will offer faster working than a usb floppy drive.

Just have a look and ask Fran and others on the forum what they think of it:
