Recently in a chat with Roger Mepstead on another forum he urged me to do some research for a winter Technics Jam in the Yuma, AZ area.

Like Bebop & Marty Dees, I travel in a Motorhome. Every winter I park out on the desert just outside of Yuma, AZ & enjoy the sunshine & comeraderie with many other RV'rs. The lovely sounds of my 7K bring people who love music to my door & once in a while another player joins me to entertain the "neighborhood". Every Wednesday I go to the east side of Yuma to share with a large group of Technics players. There have been as many as 32 people at that weekly jam.

Roger suggested that probably those who have organized previous jams would be glad to offer assistance.

As an RV'r I know for sure that places to park RV's are plentiful. Regarding accomodations for non-RV'rs, they should be plentiful also as Yuma is a good sized city. There is a sizable airport for all who will need that facility.

How about it players, is there a willingness to assist & an interest in a winter Synthzoner's KB jam in Yuma, AZ in 2006? Keep in mind that Yuma is a desert area where the winter temperature is most frequently in the 70's all day every day! No snow & very little rain!

BRUNO123.... That I got your attention away from all the big wind & rain going on in your area is great news!

There are no hurricanes in the Yuma area!

I went to Yuma a few years back on a Harley 74 Electra glide Garbage Scow with a tent and all the camping gear. It was a poker run and camp out at the old Yuma Prison. We were supposed to be there for the weekend. I lasted through one afternoon and then rode all night to get to San Diego to cool off. Never again in the summer time. It was about 135 degrees give or take 1/2 degree
I might come in my air conditioned motorhome with two air conditioners and 50 amps to run them either shore power or on board generator.

BEBOP.....No need for 50 amps power & AC's running in the 70 degree Yuma winter weather! Put a couple of solar panels on your MoHo so you can play your KB! You will be fine....A nice quiet Honda 2000 generator works great when the sun does not shine!

It would be fantastic to have the Synthzone Technics RV'rs all out on the BLM together!

Hopefully the Yuma Technics Wednesday group will get excited about a Winter SZ Jam & offer to help get it organized so we will have a place & accomodations for those who do not RV.... RV'ng is about all I know about!

I'd love a winter session however I always go to Naples, Fla Jan - Mar and have plans in Apr to go to the Masters Golf tourney. I know I'm not the reason for this event but I'd sure like to be at it. Any chance of Fla or after Early April?
