Whilst searching on the internet, I found this website which shows dates of release of all the Technics keyboards back to the K-100, together with release prices in DM and Euro.... interesting http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.technics-music-service.de/modelle/main.htm&prev=/search%3Fq%3DSX-KN500%26num%3D100%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8

BILL.....Thanks for posting the link to all the Technics KB's! Very interesting to learn when & how much!

I am wondering about the KN 2600.....Is it an "upgrade" from the 7K? Like, more bells & whistles? I did not know the 2600 & 2400 existed until I got to Synth Zone!

Considering what I paid for the 5 KN's I have owned & sold, (two)....I have made a few bucks.....Then there is the one I shipped to my daughter....That just felt good!

Hi Joe, I came across the website whil browsing for info on the KN901

Hi Elizabeth,
The KN2600 and KN2400 were released about a year after the KN7000. They are not upgrades of the KN7000, although they do share many of the features of the KN7000. I won't repeat all the differences since the specs of both can be found on the internet, by doing a 'Google' search using the type numbers.
For example : http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs...delNo=SX-KN2600
and : http://namm.harmony-central.com/SNAMM03/Content/Technics/PR/SX-KN2600-2400.html

Very nice information Bill. My only problem is I'm in Argentine and Panasonic Argentina is not selling them anymore since 2003. I hope they will resume sales soon. Technics USA wasn't very much help when I asked them for tech support for my SX k-450 by the way

Just in case you are not aware - the Technics Musical Division of Matsushita (Parent Company) has closed down and there will be no further production of Technics musical instruments - very sad
