Iam about to become the proud owner of a KN7000 and am part exchanging my upgraded KN6000/6500. Can anyone who currently owns a KN7000 tell me if the EW01NX and EW02NX expansion boards will fit the KN7000 ?
My dealer tells me that if this is the case she has no objection to my removing the EW02NX board from the KN6000 prior to actually making the physical exchange so that I can install it in the KN7000.
Also you may like to know that the price iam paying for the KN7000 is $4100 Australian
with trade in, if I didnt have a trade in the cash price would have been even less.
I think its a pretty good price judging from the various figures I have been viewing on the forum. If you want to work it out in US$ or pounds -- an Ozzy dollar is worth about 55cents or 35 pence.

absolutely, you must keep your EW01 and EW02 cards for the 7000, all the sounds are different from the sounds in the keyboard, and if you have sequenced from the voices in the cards it will sound wrong without the cards in the 7000.

For information this does not apply to EW65 card, that was for 6000 only.

Hello Alec,
Maybe a stupid question but....on what place do you fit the ew01 and ew02 in the keyboard.
Ew01 in the first slot and ew02 in the second slot...and so on , or is this not important.
I also had the ew01 and ew02 in my kn6500 and I have sequences with voices off these card.
Thanks,
Alain

It does not matter, they work in any slot.

If you want 1 to come up under the 1 button and 2 to come up under the 2 button etc, then with the keyboard upside down, keys at the top, sound card opening at the bottom, put the cards in 1 to 4 from left to right.

Just as a matter of interest I have been quoted a part exchange price of £1000 against my KN6000 to change to the KN7000.

I was quoted about 3100.00 for the 7000. This was before they got shipped to the store. Now he says 3400.00 cuz he only got 2 of them in. He said he can do the 3100.00 when the next shipment comes in. This is in Maine usa.
