I have always used Technics mode for saving SMF files because I can choose instruments to play over, choose other than GM parts, and mute parts as well as transpose.

My main SD card is getting a bit crowded but need to add about thirty SMF files. I copied them to a playlist in SD Sound.

I don't need to play over them, but need to transpose and mute the melody. Do I have to copy them to Technics mode to achieve this ?

I found that I can mute parts and save them. The only thing I apparently can't do in SD Sound is transpose. The work around is to rename and note the transosition in the title.

I also found out that you have to mute on the main interface, not the mixer to save.

I can certainly live with that unless someone knows how to transpose in SD Sound.
