Hello,

Last week I was cleaning up my mailbox and I came along an email from the year 2000. In that year there was a TV commercial on the Dutch TV about white beer, with a background music that intriged me. This email was from the PR department of the beer company with the name of the composer: George Delerue and the piece that was used in the commercial: "Theme de Camille". Now I thought to ask via this forum. Does anybody know this composer, has sheet music or audio music? It is classical type of movie background music. Thanks for you replies. Who knows...

Using the search string "Theme de Camille" on Google, there are about 90 Hits - most of them seem to be in French.......

I used the search, "Theme de Camile + Midi" and came up with a lot of hits. By listening to some you may find the one you heard before. Using Power Tracks ($19.00)or a similar program you can easily print the score.
I have printed hundreds of scores and that has more than paid for the program.

Hello Folks,

Last week I did some deeper searching and I found anice link with streaming audio: http://www.epdlp.com/delerue.html

Listening to this music made me decide to go to the CD store and search. They looked in their database: no music CD'sa available. Some CD's were in the list, but have to be imported, which is extremely time consuming and also expensive.

Who has CD(s) of George Delerue and know how I could get them or could download mp3's somewhere. Official purchasing channels in the Netherlands show no possibilites. Thanks for help.

Regards, Fred

Hi Fred,
This might help your research for "Theme de Camille".
It was from the 1995 movie "Casino" (USA.
In France it was the movie "Le Mepris".
So far I have not found a full rendition of the song, only the short clip at the URL that you referenced.
If I find it, I'll sure let you know.
Best regards,
walt

The CD of "Le Mepris" by Georges Delerue is available on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk
Do a search on Amazon using "Le Mepris" (including the inverted commas)
