HI Mr. Art.
I had no idea you were 81 years old. I am really impressed. You are so gracious and warm too, not a cranky old f - - - like so many of us at my age of only 70 start to be. I hope to emulate you in my next 10 years. Thank you for the post and the personal e-mail. I will send out the newsletter copy to you yet tonight. 25 GIGS A YEAR!! That is awesome. I sure hope you have a "roadie".
Best to you my new friend,
BEBOP

Hi Arthur, welcome aboard from a former Michigan resident. Used to live in Rochester Hills, east of Pontiac, but moved to warmer climes five years ago. My daughter still lives in Michigan, Willis to be exact, in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area. Don't believe for a minute that Bebop is a cranky old f---. His heart is warm and caring and as big as the Michigan outdoors. I know you're going to have a great time on this forum and I hope you find all the answers you will ever need. Bud

Hi Art,

I, too, want to extend to you a very warm welcome. It is fantastic that you still entertain people with your music despite being an age when many just sit in an arm chair and watch the "dummy" box. I'm nine years behind you in age and learning to play. I've been a lifelong student - love to learn, so your positive, active attitude resonates with me strongly. I relate to it. I also have a Michigan connection. In 1950, I travelled from Los Angeles (my home) to Detroit with a pal who was originally from the Walnut Lake/Walled Lake area. We stayed with his sister and her family and worked at the Dodge plant. We lived around 10 Mile and Lasher Road if that means anything to you. I believe the district was called Southfield? Now I live in Manchester, England.

The group of people who participate in this forum are terrific and I know you will enjoy your association with all of them. I certainly do. Once again - WELCOME!

Warmest Regards, Chuck

Chuck, I once lived in the 7 mile/Berg Road area as a small boy, across from Edgewater Park, then the family relocated to Walled Lake, which was primarily a tourist town with an amusement park and a big dance casino that attracted the Big Bands in the 40's and 50's. Wow! As large as this world is, sometimes it seems quite small. Without the miracle of the net, I never would have known you were once a "neighbor". My ancestors came from England, and you moved there. Boggles the mind. Bud
