Hi I just purchase the HD-SX6 for my 6500 and they ask me to format the hard disk and install the version 7 or higher.Can some body help me Thanks Howard P/S I dont have the version 7a

...... I don't think there is an upgrade for the 6500 .. only the 6000 ....

I think Tony is right here, there is no updates
for the KN6500 yet, but there might be a upgrade
disk from the HDisks factory to prepare the KN?
Is'nt the HD-SX6 already formatted from the factory?

the version 7 is only described for the 6000, not the 6500.

if you cannot access the hx6 yet:

all you have to do is follow the instructions and do a full format of all 3 partitions for first time use, takes about 90 minutes or so

I thank you for your answers I format the hard disk and everything works good.I use to have the kn6000 with the hard disk Can I directly copy to my hard disk kn6500 Thanks in advance Howard

hi Howard, you've confused me, do you mean you had the 5000 hard disk?

if you had the hard disk in the 6000 all you have to do is put it in the 6500 and it works.
