The bass octave (which according to the manual for the SD1+) is one that can be saved to the setup.pon file.

However I have tried saving it several times (using Disk Save and just Save) and each time at boot it keeps reverting to the OS default.

I suspect something else is over-riding it because if I manually load it, it rests the bass octave to the one I want.

Any one have any thoughts on this?

EDIT: One other thing I forgot - the red led above Piano/Bassist and the red led above the Ethnic (15) on the sound button section, keep alternating on and off, is this normal or does it indicate an issue?

I have only got this on a loan to see if I want to buy it (really cheap!!! - but these things may be why it is cheap )
