Hi,
I just read about the new upcoming v4 of the Audya OS. Was just curious, any accessibility features put into this release?
many thanks!

Yes - but can't talk about it just yet.

Hi,
OK then, I really look forward of hearing about them in the announcement.
So you are not able to give any hints? Jut a few words?
Many thanks,
Christian

Christian, have you played an Audya yet?
If not, you might want to know that there are a great many dedicated buttons so that you can access commands without going through a lot of menus.
Also you can opt to call up a lot of functions, such as styles, registrations and sounds, by entering numbers, rather than scrolling through menus.
There are some tasks that require going through menus, but as a rule they are not tasks you'd be doing in real time while playing.
Although I am not visually challenged, it appears to me that the Audya would be one of the most user-friendly keyboards for you.
I only hope OS 4.0 will help even more.
Hope this helps,
DonM

Hi DonM,
Many thanks for your reply.
No, I have not plaied the Audya yet, but hopefully tomorrow I will be able to do that, which I really look forward of doing.
I have just had a quick look at the Audya manual and yes, it seems to be more accessible than any other keyboard that I have been playing.
Do you own an Audya yourself?
Best regards and thanks,
Christian

Yes I do. It has that fabulous live sound.
The operating system is much improved over previous Ketrons.
You can plug one or two USB pen drives (or any other USB storage device) into it and it reads and loads in real time. Also, the rear USB port plugs into the PC and appears as a drive. No longer is software needed for file transfer or editing.
Since installing OS Version 3.0, it has been entirely stable.
