I notice that some buttons are realy pain in the @## to press. Vocalist On/off, harmony and lately arranger Buttons. (last night I couldn't mane Arr B to work). can tell this is diferent every time I start the keyboard (is this has to do with power?) some buttons function very sensitive like fill ins and value keys
I also have low gain in XLR mic input and vocalizer disfunction (seems on but nothing comes out).
Now I have to test microphone and vocalizer every night before I load Ram sounds and start the show. with power off and on again the SD1 everythig goes Right

Any one have the same problems?

Hey!
Yes, I noticed same low gain with xlr, I managed somehow with vocalist menu...you can have some extra gain there. But is acting really crazy sometime...like you said , is on but nothing happends.Maybe a soft problem.
About buttons, maybe is time to change the microtouch inside the keyboard...is getting ruined preatty fast.I did it with some of mine and is perfect now.I dont think is something about power, is just a mechanical problem.

Finaly the Arranger B button stop function
and I have to live with this few more weeks because I can't open at this time the keyboard
and replace the buttons inside. Does any one know the type of micro button so I Can order and replace in short time?
(I live in island and it takes some days to get them)

Hey!
I just used some from an "death"VCR, doesn't really matter how many pins they have, single problem is how high they are...if they are longer it's ok, you can use a fille or some sandpaper to make it right but if they are shorter then original...is over.I dont really know any codes or numbers for this parts...I'm pretty good with soldering and electronics so I did it my self somehow!I think anyone at a local radio repair shop can suplly that.Like I said you can find a lot on the VCR frontside.

Hi,

My sd1 is experiencing the same problem with hard buttons. I guess if some cleaning with Isopropylic Alcohol could help. The buttons are the more pressed ones.

Guillermo.

Hi,

Depending on the environment these are being used in, sometimes the switches could get clogged up and need some cleaning/spraying. When you open the keyboard up and remove the top panel, the switches reside below the hard black plastic that holds the buttons... these come off with a slight tug. You may then spray a cleaner (licenced for electronic circuit boards) to take off any dust particles that might be within the contacts).

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

AJ
