Hello,

My SD1 is recently experiencing the well-known display problem. I live in Mexico. The ketron dealer is in a far city and it is *VERY DIFFICULT* for me to go there (I had a car accident 3 years ago and I have brain damage, I'm seriously disabled).

Me and my father are electrical engineers, so I think it could be easy to resove this problem. I just need directions about what to do.

Thanks in advance,
Guillermo.

How old is your SD1? That was a problem some time ago, but not with those made in the last 2 years.

Call Lou Lazaro at Bell Solton, 845-268-1001 and explain the problem. They have a tech who may be able to walk you through a repair or send you a new part. Good luck.

Glenn

I had exact problem that was solved with the help of AJ in this forum, I will try to find the post, or you can try to. There was explanation how to do it yourself, and it worked fine after I fixed it.

Guillermo,
Look for 02-22-05 Keytron Forum, under my user name...SD1's screen problem, AJ explained what to do in there. Sorry I don't know how to bring the link here.

Aj told me how to fix this recently, and it worked for me. After exposing the board with the display, including the four screws holding down the display screen, gently lift one side of the display about 15 degrees such that the pins in the connector will all bend together. this will create tension on the pins so that when it is replaced back down, they should all press on their contacts.
