Soundiver,
May not be the problem. Most european and american built synths are pretty bad, when it comes down to SYSEX bulk dumps.
But if you do find that Soundiver doesn't work for you - check out Unisyn.

I personally like Soundiver and use it a lot. But all of my synths are Japanese built, so sysex dumps are pretty quick and reliable.

As far as simple applications that load sysex and ,MID,
I personally avoid using little utility applications that just load .MID and SYS. files.
I stick to serious software.
There's nothing wrong with using LOGIC or Cubase or Cakewalk to do your sysex dumps. They are very well programmed, powerful sequencers, that give you enough resolution and flexibility to store and load SYSEX information.

Hey JavaJava!
May be I'm overanalyzing, but you seem a little dissapointed with my answer...
But I honestly think that using software sequencers, if you don't want to deal with soundiver, is the best way to go, really.
\Everything else will create latency and accuracy problems.
Regatds!

Good!

I see that you also have TX81z.
Do you have the original (factory)
Perfofmances/Singles for it?
I can't fing any on the net (or my archives for that matter).

I'm from Toronto (Canada).
You can see my info (e-mail, e.t.c.) in my
"profile" section, (one of the buttons above).
I hear that synthesizers are pretty expensive in Italy. Is that true?

And ya. if you don't mind dumping user performances and singles - please do. I'd apriciate it. Just dump it to your sequencer and save it as a ".MID" filr.
Thanks!
