I am not sure what it is, but it is on the Keytron (Solton) Website. Is it an accordian style keyboard or what?

I went to Korg France to read about the PA-80, and discovered an IS40 Chromatic with a layout like the X-8. I would like to find out more about this layout.

I think you mean Ketron, Solton X4 right?

Well it is just a module of the X1, that is same keyboard, but without the keys.

Nice try, Ilija, but there is now an X1 (piano-typte keyboard), X4 (module), and X8 (accordian-type keyboard). As I said, Korg has one too. These units have button instead of keys.

Yes you meant the BUTTON version. I got mislead by your previous mail stating for an accordeon player (to use WITH the accordeon).

I am not surprised I misled you. I had never seen a "keyboard" like that on an arranger--now I have seen that layout from two different companies. Who plays these? I am intrigued because the buttons are closer together than piano keys so more fingerings would seem possible.

On another topic, I saw on a Korg forum that you were responding to requests for Arabic and Turkish styles. Are these styles available in Yamaha format? If not, I would like to get something in Korg format for conversion. Also, do you have other ethnic styles?
