I have looked at the Cakewalk web site and am totally overwhelmed with all of their tecnical non beginner-friendly product descriptions.

Which software should I buy to accomplish these three basic things:

1. Create MIDI sequences for performance
2. Digitally record keyboard output to a CD
3. Have the ability to trigger wav or mp3 files from my PSR2000 and incorporate those items into a performance sequence.

I appreciate your suggestions.

Thx, Russ

Power Tracks Pro will do 1 & 2. http://www.pgmusic.com/powertracks.htm
This is a cut from the site,"Mix Your Music, Convert Your MIDI and Burn Your CD! Once you have recorded your parts, added audio harmonies and applied high-quality effects with PowerTracks Pro Audio 9 you can view and print notation including chords and lyrics, arrange, quickly render MIDI to audio, and burn your project onto an audio CD - all without leaving the program! "
Not sure about # 3.

For the money you can't beat Starkeeper's suggestion. It is very user friendly. As far as triggering MP3's thru your KB, I don't think that is possible. But, the addition of an MP3 player will solve that problem.

Thanks for your replies.

Let's say that cost was not a factor, which is the better product and why?

And by the way, which Cakewalk product are you comparing to?

Thanks, Russ
