Any thought on these 2 power mixer, I'm looking to use it for small gig, instead of hauling the full rack of Amp, mixer, effect eq,etc all the time, thanks!

Let me also highly recommend the Behringer PMX 2000. I have been using this head for 2+ years faithfully on over 160 gigs. It is cheap, powerful, has 3 stereo inputs, effects, and it's highly reliable.

I owned both of them and had a chance to compare them side-by-side. Yamaha sounds better and has more functions that you can do with it and it's quite a bit cheaper (under $600). Also Yamaha has dual effects used in SPX-990 multi effects unit. I sold the Mackie PPM-808S and kept the Yamaha EMX-5000.

My opinion is, to get the Yamaha EMX 5000 12, like Tommy said, is a lot cleaner, and to my ears, sounds better. To bad Roland drop of production the CPM 300 (RAD), I use this one for my gigs, small footprint, VERY clean sound, LIGHT weight, I have been using it for almost 2 years and no trouble, and before that, I also used one at the store for demo(Synthony Music in Phoenix, now closed), to conect several keyboards for many hours and months....and no problem.

Al, Tommy,Moderantes,

Thanks for all suggestion, I thought about Behrangers too, but kind of lean towards those two mixers. I did get the Mackie yesterday and play a gig last night, it sounded good, but the control button are kind of small, difficult to get to, I like the fader better, plus you guys seem happy with Emx5000, I think I will exchange it, thanks again!

"Lantai" it's a "Thai" name, I'm originally from Thailand. Have you ever try Thai food?, it's very good and very spicy.

Tommy,

Nice surprise, I'm also originally from Thailand. Do you play anywhere in LA? Which Keyboards do you use currently?
