Hello............I too agree with DonM. I have always liked the feel of my PSR2000s keys. I have no problems with touch response...........but then I was never a piano player. I always played organs with softer keys. Looking at the pix if the 3000, I'll bet it uses the same keys as before. The entire construction looks the same, just more of the same style buttons, wheels and LEDs. Should I be more excited at the color screen?? Do the colors really tell you more info, or is it mearly cosmetic? I'm hoping the real improvements are in the internal technology and mostly the sound!!

What the color screen on the Tyros does allows for quicker more intuitive differentiation between the different functions.

I really hope they DID change the key feel and maybe used the Tyros setup ( which I could live with ), but my guess is that they probably didn't. There realy isn't any way to tell 'til someone actually can play the thing, unless Steve wants to chime in with a "trade secret".

If PSR3000 color screen were as big as Tyros one, it would be a great advantage.
But PSR3000 screen has a similar size as PSR2000, it is not Tyros screen at all.
So, probably color allows only a best visual pleasure, not more.

And
where can we see PSR3000 information on the net?

Takes all kinds, huh?

Hi Don
There are a few of us in this minority. I also like the key-feel on the PSR2000. When I got my Tyros, it was the worst thing trying to adjust to the difference. Since I got my Tyros, my RSI/Carpal Tunnel has started to act up again. I had very little of it when I was playing my PSR2000. I guess it's all a matter of what you are used to and how you trained, etc.
You are not alone in liking the PSR2000 keys. Of course, all the piano players will disagree.

sylion's Server is loading really slow and seems to be having problems. Here is another link to the PSR 1500 that should load much faster:

PSR 1500

Btw, I think the PSR 1500 has a better cosmetic look than the PSR 3000. If people can live with 96 note Polyphony and no Color LCD and a few less Cool! and Live! Voices the PSR 1500 would be the board to get plus you'll probably save at least $300 in the process.

George, what is it again besides what I stated above, that the PSR 3000 has that the PSR 1500 doesn't have? Also, on the Broadband Connectivity, is that just for downloading from the Yamaha Store site, ie., Styles, Midi's, etc., or will there indeed be the ablility to update the OS that way or at all? Or has Yamaha tied your hands to discuss anything further knowing that at anytime the feature list could change because they're in the very earliest phase of implementation and design?

Best regards,
Mike
