Anyone have any current street prices on the G70 yet?

One place gave me a price of $3195.., does that sound right?

The Retail price for the G70 from the MI division (don't know if this will hold for the CK division which is now the only division selling these) $3995.00 and the MAP price is $3495.00. MAP is the lowest price any dealer can advertise the product for.
Now that CK will be selling these I wouldn't be surprised to see them showing up for much higher prices! Only time will tell. Roland isn't expecting any G70's to arrive until the end of February or early March.

I'm sure that Harmony Central posted the information about the G70 with what information they had from NAMM. The information I received from roland regarding not selling through internet and MI stores has not been shared with most music stores as of yet. Please note that many internet stores tell you things are available even when they are not. I spoke with roland inside sales today and they told me that none of the G70's will be arriving until later this month.

This is such disturbing news Not being able see or test a G70 at our usual haunts will definitely put a huge dent in sales. Whoever made this decision made a BIG MISTAKE! There may be one or two places I might possibly see the G70, but that's not a given. And I don't think I'm in the market for a $3500-$4000 keyboard that basically mimics my VR760 and PSR2000 combo. For dealers such as George and Dano I'm sorry that you are missing out on an opportunity to sell a possibly great-selling keyboard. Now I predict sales will be dismal and I'll get mine off eBay in about 18 months at half price - in the box.

18 months? teh G70 wil just be a faint Memory by then...get ready for the next newest & greatest It's Coming!
