I have designed a VERY simple (one transistor, one resistor) passive circuit that enables one to use a normally open Yamaha footswitch on a Technics keyboard that requires a normally closed footswitch. If anybody is interested please Email me at gadm@adelphia.net and I will send you a schematic and description.

Cheers !!

Since it requires soldering anyway, why not just resolder the one wire on the micro switch itself to make it a normally closed contact. That way it works for the Technics, and for the Yamaha's, there's a polarity selector in the Controller Menu.

And if you want to use the pedal both ways, just put in a 2 way switch to either make the wire go to the normally open or normally closed contact of the micro switch. That way there's no need for a transistor or a resistor at all.
